#139 Ombre Stamping

Hi Crafters,

I LOVE LOVE LOVE color, this simple one-layer card is so bright and cheery. Be sure to check out the video below.

Here's the inside of the card. Notice I have smaller width rectangles - the smaller rectangle came from the Simon Says Stamp "Happy & Smile" stamp set.  The sentiment on the inside came from the Simon Says Stamp "Handwritten Greetings" stamp set.

I stamped an envelope as well, but that was before I remembered I had narrower rectangles, it would have been better to use the same stamp on the envelope as I used on the inside. Oh well, it still looks cute. I didn't go all the way across the envelope because I wanted to make sure I had room for the address.  Notice the orange is 'yucky'  it's the way the color looks on the envelope paper. I mentioned in the video that inks behave differently on different papers - WEIRD.
And here is the video - ENJOY

#138 Masking Technique

Hi Crafters,

What a fun and easy technique. I love the look. I learned about this technique from a class I took on Craftsy - check them out; I've learned tons from the craftsy site.

I did the design on the envelope as well. If you do that, be sure to insert a piece of cardstock into the envelope  just in case the ink runs through. I love the design on the envelope almost as much as the card ;-)

Watch the video below for details on how to get the cool design
Supplies Used:
Simon Says Stamp "Happy & Smile" stamp set
Doodlebug Sequins set of 15 colors - love this set (get it at StampinMania.com)
Micropore Tape - best deal is at Amazon.com

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to seeing you again.  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
have a super blessed day,

#135 Just A Note

HI Crafters,

Here's a super cute, easy, and inexpensive card to make. It's a 4x4 note card. The reason it's inexpensive is; the stamp set is only $5 from Papertrey Ink and the Die is only $5 - YEAH.  You can use any colored pencils you have, it doesn't HAVE to be the expense Derwent Inktense Pencils.

I stamped the image twice on watercolor paper. Once for the background image on the main card then again for the piece I want to die-cut out.  What I think is cool is that the extra little black dots around the image on the top and lower right are behind the popped up image that was die-cut out. Meaning, the die cuts the image without including those few dots...which I love. It really adds dimension when pop the image up.

Obviously there isn't a ton of color on this one but I did use several Intense pencils and a water brush to add the color.

Supplies Used:
Derwent Inktense Pencils
Enamel Dots
Corner Chomper
Watercolor Paper
