Swaps for Convention Round Up

Hi everyone. Today I'm going to a 'Convention Roundup' meeting with my upline group. I am sad to say I wasn't able to go to convention this year so I'm excited to hear all about it and see some new ideas. I will be taking lots of pics and posting some of my faves on my blog. Below are the swaps I'm taking. I LOVE the new Cottage Wall DSP. Enjoy....these cards take a little bit of time to create because of all the details with the white gel pen, and I used my Big Shot for a lot!!! I don't know how I ever lived without a Big Shot. Gift Box Cards

I found some great gift boxes at Michael's on clearance the other day. I bought several of them, I wish I would have bought them all!! I thought they would make a great gift idea with some handmade cards inside. I love the size of the cards. I ended up making 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 square cards and they fit perfectly inside the box. They also fit perfectly into the Stampin' Up! medium square envelopes. I will end up with a set of 6 cards but I only have 4 created so far. Take a look and let me know what you think. (ignore the date stamp, my camera battery died and when I put in a new one I set the wrong year!)

The last one below doesn't really match the color scheme I was working on. I may not put it in the same group, but I like it ;-)

Covered Clip Boards

A few days ago I made a couple of covered clip boards. I purchased actual clipboard material from Zutter, where I got my new "Bind it All" and "Dream Kutz" machine, though this project uses neither of them ;-) Anyway, at Zutter you can purchase various sizes of clipboard material. I used the 5 1/2 x 7. These are so cute, easy to make, and make great gift ideas. You'll be seeing holiday versions of these in the future in gift bag collections. I rounded the corners of the clipboard as well. I used the corner rounder from Zutter, it is made for heavier materials than the corner rounders you're used to using with paper crafts. I hope you think they're as cute as I do !

Gift Box and Cards

This set is supposed to have a set of 4 cards w/ matching envelopes. I currently have 3 of the 4 made. I haven't come up with an idea for the 4th card but I am sure I will soon. Enjoy. If you want instructions how to make this shoot me an email or comment on the blog. I would like to get in the habit of having the instructions ready when I post the pics. I just haven't had the time lately.
