Celebrate Life - Wallboard

Celebrate Life – Drywall Sample

So, today I decided to be creative outside the box. I decided to make something I could frame. I started with a 6” x 8” canvas panel, seemed like a good idea to me. Then I started stamping, the canvas has a textured surface so the stamped images were not complete, it was getting frustrating. I tried “fixing” is with markers – yah, not such a good idea ;-) My friend Jeanie was over here and she said “hey why don’t you try it on a drywall sample” so off to Home Depot we went. It was pretty messy cutting the wall board; Jeanie did it for me, what a friend ;-)

I did a couple of different pictures, one isn’t quite finished so I don’t have it to post just yet. However, here is my finished “un-framed” it will be much cuter in a white frame but I was so excited to show it to you I’m showing you the rough-edged project. The edges are not exactly straight but once it’s framed you won’t see that.

Hope you like it!

Hi All, most of you have already seen my covered bags but I thought for the new visitors I would post them. Soon I'll be posting projects along with instructions but I'm not quite ready for that yet. I've been working a ton, I would love it if my job was to just craft and create all day, but its not...so I will need to have a couple of days to put things together in order to provide instructions. So, for now, I will post a picture of some gift bags that I covered. It's so easy and the possibilities are endless. Hope you enjoy.

Where does the time go? I have literally been down in my craft room all day. This morning I finally found the tutorial I had seen quite some time back. I had seen this card and LOVED it. I couldn't remember who's website I found it on, finally, after literally 2 1/2 hrs of searching archives on both Patty Bennett's and Dawn Griffith's websites I found it. This card happened to be on Dawn's. I've posted a picture of the one I made this morning, but check out the video Dawn has, her card looks better too ;-) I was just so excited to use the brayer I bought and never figured out how to use. I really love this card. I made two of them so I would make sure to have one to keep on my display board to help spark creativity. Hope you like it. Thanks Dawn!!!

Find this beautiful card at Dawn's Stamping Studio. I'm going to 'attempt' to put the link here but I'm not sure it will work. If it doesn't, use the link to the right on my blog "Dawn's Stamping Studio" then click on Archive on her site. You'll find this in the January 2009 archives. Hope you don't mind me shaing all this Dawn.

"Craft Central's" De'cor Elements - Love It

Well, I'm learning how to upload things to my blog tonight. I'm pretty excited. I put up some of my Stampin' UP! De'cor Elements and just LOVE them. This is one of the walls in "Craft Central"

Happy Easter (no, this isn't an Easter Card ;-)

Wow - I started this blog nearly a year ago. I forgot my blog address (that's probably not what it's called) and then couldn't figure out how to get back. I'm hoping to start blogging regularly. I need to learn how to put pictures on, divide my blog into sections, put the link to my Stampin' Up! website, clearly I have a lot to do and I have no clue how to do it.

I had a blast the last two days. Today my friend Becky was here w/ her daughter and we played for several hours in "Craft Central". Yesterday my friend Michelle was here and we crafted for hours as well. I have been in craft central since 10:30 this morning, it is now 8:40 pm. I think my husband thinks I'm nuts! I am totally addicted though. I learned how to make the cutest card from Dawn's Stampin Studio, that uses the Big Shot's Top Note Die and looks like it was quilted. I took a picture. Lets see if I can figure out how to post it on the site ;-)
