Scrapbook Layout

So I recently gave in and succumbed to the 'distressed ink' & 'vintage' creation ideas. I haven't done a lot yet. Still figuring it all out but I did use Tim Holtz distressed inks to create the two top layers. I've made a few tags and stuff, I should post them as they are becoming quite popular to put on scrapbook pages as well as cards.

I still need to make a coordinating page to match it but wanted to get this one up.

Materials Used:
Basic Grey:  12x12 paper from their Fact & Fiction line (they actually have a paper pack called Fact and one called Fiction - I used the "Fact" one)
Basic Grey: Fact & Fiction Chipboard pieces
Basic Grey: bitsy clear stamps
Making Memories: Cheeky Shimmer Stickers (alpha)
Mrs Grossmans Natural Art (dried flower piece)
Tim Holtz Distress inks:  Shabby Shutters & Broken China
Tim Holtz Alterations: Mini Rosettes Die by Sizzix. (LOVE this die, makes making rosettes a BREEZE)
Momenta: Metals (metal butterfly)
Stampin UP!: Pearls
Wyla:  Lace
Staz-On: Black Ink

Scrapbook Pages

I know alot of you like cards but I've been in such a scrapbook page making mood. I think these are adorable if I do say so myself. I used images I purchased from Scrapping Doodles (check it out by going to it from the link on the right side of my blog so they know you found them through me.)  They have TONS of awesome graphics. I've purchased TONS.  I resize them to meet my needs, print them on photo paper then cut them out. LOVE IT. I have used textured cardstock, ribbon, and I added 'bling' to the tree and the flowers. I think this is a fun little girl's layout. I am going to be posting them at my etsy store.

Finally a pic of my Mudd Puddles Example

Hi All,

I actually did a couple of chipboard things with Mudd Puddles last week but haven't taken pics yet. I started these scrapbook pages today. They are NOT done, however I wanted to show you the Mudd Puddles. I have a request out to the creator of the product to see if I can be a seller for their product. Stay tuned to find out. Right now it cannot be found in stores. This is actual sand in a glue type mixture you put on with an icing knife. This example is actual sand but they have lots of things to choose from. Hopefully I will be able to put up some more examples next weekend since I am off on Friday.

Memories Scrapbooking Expo - Mudd Puddles

OMG Stampers. I saw so many cool and exciting things at the expo yesterday. My FAVORITE new item though is Mudd Puddles. It's an amazing product that I know you will all love! Hopefully I will have an opportunity to make a couple of samples for you this evening and post to the blog.

I am sure you will find this product just as amazing as I do. It adds amazing texture and color to your scrapbook pages as well as your cards. You know we have tried to make the appearance of sand on our cards and things, well, this gives you THE SAND in a glue - amazing. I've never seen anything like it. They have glass chips, all kinds of sand, small sea shells, etc in glue. You spread it on your project like cake frosting. Stay Tuned for my first project using this fabulous new product.

Covered Calendars

These are soooo easy to make. They are great little "Thank You", "Thinking of You" etc type gifts. You can toss one in your purse, glove box, or whatever. The calendars I used are 2 year so they have 2010 and 2011. I covered them Designer Paper and embellished...can't get any easier than that ;-)

Butterfly Birthday

Here's another sneek peek at one of the designs for my upcoming Stamp-a-Stack. I normally don't show them but I have a couple of ladies from out of town who will be getting kits and making them on their own. I like the color combination of this one.

To get the Scallop Corners to match up with the sides you need to use a 4" square. Punch one of the corners, then punch the straight line, then another corner, and so on. The Whisper White square in the middle is a 3-1/2" square. The Scallop piece is raised and adhered with dimensionals. Email me if you have any questions.

I love this stamp set, "Wonderful Watercolors" and unfortunately it is being retired ;(  This is probably one of those sets that I will actually keep. Cardstock: Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Barely Banana, Almost Amethyst

Enjoyed a GREAT Stamp-a-Stack

I haven't posted for a few days. I was busy getting ready for the Holiday Stamp-a-Stack at my house yesterday...Wow - I had such a good time. I met new friends, had fun with old friends, and enjoyed myself emensly. I've posted a few of the 5 cards we did yesterday but I will be posting more in the next day or so. Its such a busy time of year for crafters. I have one more event then I'm going to take it easy until January, where I will have lots of Sale-a-bration events planned. Stay tuned for announcements. You can also check out my Stampin' UP! Website for a complete listing of all my events.

I hope everyone has as great a weekend as I did. I'm off tomorrow (yeah, no work) and will be crafting all day in preparation for a small craft show at the YMCA  in Marsville, OH on Tuesday night 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. If you have time stop by and check it out.

Happy Stamping!!
