Covered Clip Boards

A few days ago I made a couple of covered clip boards. I purchased actual clipboard material from Zutter, where I got my new "Bind it All" and "Dream Kutz" machine, though this project uses neither of them ;-) Anyway, at Zutter you can purchase various sizes of clipboard material. I used the 5 1/2 x 7. These are so cute, easy to make, and make great gift ideas. You'll be seeing holiday versions of these in the future in gift bag collections. I rounded the corners of the clipboard as well. I used the corner rounder from Zutter, it is made for heavier materials than the corner rounders you're used to using with paper crafts. I hope you think they're as cute as I do !

Gift Box and Cards

This set is supposed to have a set of 4 cards w/ matching envelopes. I currently have 3 of the 4 made. I haven't come up with an idea for the 4th card but I am sure I will soon. Enjoy. If you want instructions how to make this shoot me an email or comment on the blog. I would like to get in the habit of having the instructions ready when I post the pics. I just haven't had the time lately.

Enjoy!!!!
I love the new In-colors this year. Expect to see alot of new things in the next week or two. I am planning on crafting ALL DAY today - woo hoo...

Just checking in....

Wow - where has the time gone. I can't believe I haven't been on my blog in over 2 weeks. Lots has been happening and my life is zooming by. Checkout my facebook to see what all I have been up to. If you click to join as a friend please put a note in the request that says something about this blog "Stampin Mania Blog" so that I know to add you to my 'crafting list' of friends.

I am getting ready to post some pics of a gift box of cards that I made a couple of weeks ago. I love making gift items. Look for the pics soon.

Simple Flowers & Little Leaves

Here's a card that actually took me some time to come up with, yet it ended up being so simple. I really wanted to make something with some of the new In-Colors as well as show off an Embosslit and a Sizzlit die. I used a brad in the center of the flower for a nice subtle touch. I used the polka dot texturz plate for the backgroun piece. Hope you enjoy.

July 4th Crafting

I finally found some time to craft this weekend. I made several items. Here are a couple of the cards I made. I really like the color combinations of the Enjoy card, that is made w/ Sage Shadow and Chocolate Chip. The other card is using In Colors from the new catalog. LOVE the colors. Enjoy...I'll be crafting more today. My friend Michelle is coming over to craft all day - woo hoo....

Been Away

I have soooo missed crafting and my crafting buddies. As most of you know all 4 of my kids decided to get married in a 1 year timeframe - kill me now ;-) So I've been so busy with all of the planning, attending, guests, relatives visiting, it's been a blast but I am soooo ready to craft again.

Big Shot Matchbox Boxes

How cute are these boxes? My friend Becky H. came over on the 18th and helped me make them for my daughter's bridal shower. I put 3 Ghirardelli chocolate squares in each. They made cute favors to sit at each person's place setting.

Take note that a couple of the boxes have layered ribbon, Becky's idea, and I loved it.

I really like the look of the wider ribbon on the boxes as well. These are so easy and fun. I'm thinking about having a Stampin' Up! event to create these boxes and maybe a couple of other things, not sure yet. The summer is so busy,
my SU business is suffering. I better get on the ball.

Enjoy the photos, they're too cute.

Thanks for your help Becky!

Mother's Day Card

How bad of a daughter am I???? I started to actually buy a Mother's Day card the other day because I knew I wouldn't have time to make one in time to mail to Colorado, but I just couldn't do it. My family and friends are used to get handmade cards from me. So, I didn't get a chance to make a card for my mom until this morning. Here's the card I made. It's rather simple but sometimes less is more, especially when you are running as late as I am! I cased this card concept from Patty's Stampin Spot. She had used the Stampin' Up! Manhattan Flower Textured Die and cut around it like I've done here on this card. I thought it was a great idea!

So, I made the card, wrote on the inside and took pics of both the outside and inside so on Mother's Day my mom could at least see her card ;-) I emailed it to her.
I embossed the greeting on the inside, and yes I wrote a note inside to my mom as well, but you all don't need to see that part ;-)
