Shopping Our Stash Challenge 83 : All white or cream

I'm new to entering challenges and they are really fun. This card looks relatively simple but there was a lot to the detail.  The flowers were originally white flowers from Stampin' UP!'s retired Pretties Kit. First I colored them with Very Vanilla craft ink; sprinkled clear embossing powder on them and embossed them. I need to take a close up picture and add it to this post. They became stiff kind of plastic feeling. It was cool. The middle part of the flower I did the same thing but instead of clear embossing powder I used Irridescent Ice to give it sparkle.

All of the stamped images are embossed using Very Vanilla craft ink and clear embossing powder. They show up better in person than in the photo.

This is the original Flower I made for the card but when I put it on it was too big and a little over-powering but you an see the embossing details better on this one than the smaller one.

this is the one on the card

i liked the card so much I made three of them ;-)

  2. Hi Terri! I wanted to stop by and tell you how awesome your comment was! Sometimes I feel blog land is "Hollywood". By that I mean that everyone says everything is wonderful and no one ever says, hey not your best work! I guess by not commenting they are saying they dont' like it? I am not sure. I suppose they mean to be encouraging and that is nice...But I so love your comment, your honesty is so refreshing. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH for agreeing that the first card was NOT great. you have made my day!

Now as for this sweet little card set: girl that is a lot of work! i thought you used patterned paper, and then I saw that you stamped and colored everything. very pretty. I love stampin' up!
